Despite the significance of employee presence, employee sometimes fails to report at work place during the scheduled time, which is known as \u201cabsenteeism\u201d. The term absenteeism is defined as the \u201cthe failure of a worker to report for work when scheduled to work\u201d. The Webster dictionary states \u201cabsenteeism is the practice or habit of being an \u2018absence\u2019 and absentee is one who habitually stays away\u201d.
